HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a viral disease which is characterized by the lesion of the immune cells of the human being. This disease bears a slow progressive character and the final stage of the disease development leads to the complete inhibition of the immune system of a person, known as AIDS.
The causative agent of this disease is a human immunodeficiency virus which differs by a long incubation period and it is very difficult to detect it.
The most widely-spread causes of HIV are unprotected sexual intercourses, usage of the infected syringes and other medical instruments, and heredity (from mother to child).
HIV is not transmitted through: sting, droplet spread, kisses, handshake, and clothes.
The symptoms of HIV may be as the common symptoms of the catarrhal diseases: fever, fatigue, muscle weakness, disorder of the gastrointestinal tract, and bad appetite. These symptoms may appear in several weeks after the infection. However they may quickly disappear, and thus a patient will not suspect the virus in the body. The absence of the symptoms may be for up to 10 years, however the immune system will be destroyed within this period of time and the body will net be able to resist severe diseases as well as light cold.
It is better to start the treatment of HIV by the first symptoms. If you suspect the present of the virus, it is better to have examination and if necessary have the preventive courses of the treatment than ruin your body.
